Kent Welborn joined Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in April of 2000 as a Financial Representative. He has spent the last eight years helping professionals and business owners with their risk management and wealth accumulation. Over the years, Kent has acquired numerous licenses and designations including: life and health insurance licenses, securities licenses, the CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) designation, the ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) designation and the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) certification. Kent is committed to providing the best service to his clients and helping them reach their financial goals.
 

At a very young age, Kent Welborn was exposed to the insurance industry while playing in his father's office.  Kent's father, Michael B. Welborn, CLU, a 34 year veteran of the financial security business, instilled in Kent as a small child the importance of financial responsibility.  These lessons resonated through Kent into his adult life and now he is dedicated to passing this knowledge on to his clients. 

Before becoming a Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, Kent Welborn pursued a career as an actor in New York City and San Francisco and worked as a bike messenger to pay the bills.  After six years of working extremely hard for too little reward, Kent was reminded of the knowledge his father had given him over the years with regard to financial responsibility.  It was at that point when Kent went to his father seeking advice.  Kent's father recommended that he pursue a career with the preeminent company in the financial security industry, Northwestern Mutual.  Kent's approach is to get to know his clients' goals and dreams to provide them with quality products and services.
